UMC Special Sunday Offering
HUMAN RELATIONS DAY – JANUARY 15, 2023
The Human Relations Day offering supports social justice and outreach ministries that empower all God’s children to realize their full potential as human beings in relationship with one another. This fund helps encourage that potential through ministries like the Community Developers Program, multiethnic ministries and countless other projects across the United Methodist connection. These funds are administered by Global Ministries in collaboration with The General Board of Church and Society.
Donations to UUMC are always appreciated. Below please find items we have an ongoing need for and some guidelines. Please contact us at outreach@uumcsyracuse.org, office@uumcsyracuse.org, or call 315-475-7277, Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 1 PM to arrange delivery.
- New or clean gently used clothing for adults and children. Machine washable items only
- Socks, gloves, hats and outerwear. Machine washable items only
- New or clean gently used, boots and shoes for adults and children
- Undamaged books
- Non-expired dry or wet pet food
- Non-expired undamaged/unopened shelf stable food items
- Unopened/undamaged personal hygiene items. Specifically, toothpaste, toothbrushes (individually wrapped), shampoo, bar soap, deodorant, lotion and women’s sanitary items
- Baby items, including diapers, wipes and unopened/non-expired food
