About – ICC

The Interfaith Community Collective (ICC) is the project of four faith communities, University United Methodist Church, Grace Episcopal Church, Temple Concord and All Saints Roman Catholic Church. We have all individually run food pantries and/or clothing closets for decades. We came together as ICC, pooling our energy and resources which allows the total to be more than the sum of the parts. We believe that, as Protestants, Roman Catholics and Jews working together, we are modeling Rev, Martin Luther King’s “Beloved Community” as we welcome guests from every corner of our community and of the world to our programs and into our hearts. Most of our activity happens at University United Methodist Church and is managed by volunteers from all our communities, as well as the community at large and students from local high schools and colleges. In 2023, we distributed 186 tons of food to over 50,000 individuals. Executive Director Galyn Murphy Stanley is our one employee. She manages a volunteer list of over 200 individuals who together make this work possible.
