Faith In Action

Working to address the needs of our neighborhood, our city and beyond has been a core part of University Church life for decades. As an urban congregation, we view our mission and outreach work as fundamental to our identities as Christians called to do God’s work in the world. We have a vibrant and multifaceted outreach program [link], including a clothes closet and Sunday “To Go” breakfasts; a social justice initiative [link] that tackles justice and equity issues at the societal level; and a thrift shop [link], the proceeds of which help fund disaster relief and various other mission activities. We also house the Interfaith Community Collective, which oversees distribution of food, diapers and other necessary products to persons in need.
