Welcome-Back SU Students Block Party 8/29/13
We partnered with The ROAD ministry to welcome SU students to the neighborhood as classes began.

Allan Drew Memorial Bike Ride 8/3/13
For the third year, UUMC members and friends bike around a Finger Lake in memory or Allan Drew, a beloved member who was a biking enthusiast and who cared for others and this planet.
Preparing to Welcome Refugees 3/27/13
UUMC members gathered to prepare a North Side apartment for our Sudanese refugee family of six. They since have arrived in Syracuse and are getting acclimated to their new country.
Christmas Eve Service/Pageant 12/24/12
Our children re-enact the miracle of Christmas playing the shepherds, angels and magi. A woman who grew up in the church and her husband play Mary and Joseph and their baby is Jesus.
Copper Beech Commons Welcome Picnic 8/26/12
UUMC members and friends participated in the welcome picnic for the more than 100 college students living in Copper Beech Commons apartments built this year next to the church on the old armory site. We provided the dessert. The congregation was asked to provide 50 dozen cookies–100 dozen were received!
Second Annual Allan Drew Memorial Ride 8/25/12
About 15 people were involved in this 31-mile ride around Owasco Lake in memory of beloved UUMC member Allan Drew, who also was a SUNY-ESF professor.
Church Picnic at Pratt’s Falls 8/19/12
More than 50 UUMC members and friends enjoyed a great day at Pratt’s Falls County Park at our annual church picnic.
United Methodist Night at the Ballpark 6/21/12
Two dozen UUMC members and friends enjoyed a tailgate and steamy night at Alliance Bank Stadium. We joined other Methodists on the field to sing the national anthem before the game.
Our children and youth put on the musical June 17, directed by Mary Magowan.
Confirmation and New Members
We confirmed three of our youth and accepted new members on June 10. Our No-Fault Orchestra also played during the service.
On May 26, members, family members and our partners at Welch Terrace planed our Community Garden. The harvest helps supply our Food Pantry with fresh vegetables and is shared with Welch Terrace.
